DomainKeys - The solution?

Again, we are told that this will be the solution to SPAM. This is not believable, but it could lead to a fairly secure way to recognize faked/spoofed emails. DomainKeys has just been adopted as an Internet Standard by the IETF.

'Pump and dump' scams come to Europe

Last month I was speaking about the pump and dump scams that are sued by scammers/spammers to manipulate share prices on the Stock Exchange and the reaction of the SEC. Now, a German company had the dubious chance of being the first European company hit by such a high-tech Internet-based scam.

Question "I was already victim of email SPAM, but now it's my Internet web site that is assaulted by spammers leaving messages (often pornographic) messages. What can I do?"

Short answer: There are good software plugins to protect your blog or web site against those comment SPAMs.

Longer answer: I am also managing some web site that -like www.roumazeilles.net use a blog or content management software package to support the site itself. I installed Akismet, a plugin that recognizes comment SPAM and removes them or quarantine them.

Depending on the exact technology of your web site, you may have to ask your Internet web site technology provider to get the adequate product/plugin.
