1 million zombies
FBI announced that according to their count it's now more than
a million PC computers that have been infected by viruses or Trojan
horses that turned them into zombies (PCs that are kept ready to
execute commands sent from the other side of the world by a spammer
or a hacker).
11 year of jail for SPAM
Adam Vitale, American, 26 years old, has been dragged in front
of the Judge by AOL for spamming 1.2 million of the AOL subscribers
against the CAN-SPAM Act. He could be sentenced to 11 years of government-paid
housing in September.

King of SPAM arrested
Robert Alan Soloway, 27, has been arrested in Seattle. Owner of
Newport Internet Marketing Corporation, between 2003 and 2007, he
offered services helping spammers activities like mail servers deliberately
hiding the origin of email messages. Soloway often presented himself
as « the King of SPAM ».

Signal-Spam, French initiative against SPAM
Extending the 2002 « boîte à spams » (SPAM mailbox) operation
from the French CNIL, Signal-Spam has just been created to collect
SPAM messages, analyze them, and organize legal action against their
authors.
